Grungy Flannel Hi/Low Ruffle Blouse
Grungy Flannel Hi/Low Ruffle Blouse
A little bit feminine, a little bit grungy

My latest creation! A little bit feminine, a little bit grungy, a whole lot of funky fun style, this blouse has it all.
I wanted to play with ruffles, but not too sweet, so I grabbed an old, reclaimed, semi fitted flannel blouse, cut it into a hi/low style and made a ruffle out of an old plaid shirt. I fashioned a “heart” patch out of denim and linen, then attached some amazing strips of denim from my “scrap pile”, bleach washed the whole thing and, voila!
This beauty looks great buttoned or hanging open as a slouchy jacket. The shoulders have a slight puff and there are slash pockets at the waist. It is a perfect layering piece to complement any outfit. With orange and grey contrast stitching, the faded tones of peach, pink, purple and blue really do go with anything. Dress it up or grunge it down, it’s totally up to you! As with all of my creations, all materials are recycled, (except for the thread), sanitised and stress tested for durability.
