Parisian Eiffel Tower Tank Dress
Parisian Eiffel Tower Tank Dress
One of a kind shabby chic French countryside/pastoral A-line tank dress

My latest creation, completed as of today. This beautiful dress incorporates many elements that I love. The style is inspired by the brand Magnolia Pearl in so much as it’s a long, A-line, crinkly tank dress with shabby, frayed edges and an uneven hemline. It can be worn alone or over jeans with chunky boots. It is all season and could be worn with a top underneath and tights as well. It is made from all recycled material.
The material is a pre owned Duvet cover that has been sanitised and stress tested for durability. The size of the dress is smaller than my normal creations as it was determined by the graphic on the front. I wanted to incorporate the entire Eiffel Tower and as much of the Parisian canal scene as possible. I used the curve of the canal to determine the hemline. The back of the dress is made from the back panel of the duvet cover and has lovely hearts, butterflies and stamps. The colours are pastel pinks, lavenders, blues, greys and charcoal. The label and badge on the back and inside the dress are made from linen lace and sewn on together.
The dress content is 50/50 cotton/polyester, so very easy to wash and dry. It won’t crinkle quite as much as 100% cotton, but it has the advantage of looking really good when pressed as well. The length at maximum is approximately 52 inches, shortest 49 inches, but the hem will fray a bit with wear and washing. The inside seams are left raw to fray and create an even more distressed look. The side seams are flat locked for good strength and durability as well as giving a lovely flat line.
I love this dress, it is a piece of wearable art!
